This special winter version of the classic W Trek takes you through some of Patagonia’s most spectacular scenery, including Base Torres, the French Valley, and the Grey Glacier viewpoint. The adventure also features the stunning Grey III boat navigation, offering close-up views of the impressive Grey Glacier and the vast Southern Patagonian Ice Field.
Over six unforgettable days, you will trek through glacial valleys, turquoise lakes, and Patagonian forests, discovering the park from a quieter and more intimate perspective.
The program is fully guided by certified guides, ensuring safety while sharing their expertise on the region’s geography, wildlife, and natural history.
The experience combines adventure and comfort with 2 nights in Puerto Natales, 2 nights at Paine Grande Refuge, and 1 night at Grey Refuge, allowing you to explore the park’s most iconic landscapes.

Check-in at Hostel and Adventure Preparation
Upon arrival in the city of Puerto Natales, you will have time to check in at Hotel Martin Gusinde (or similar) and explore the town. At the scheduled time, you will attend an informational briefing, where the details of the itinerary, safety recommendations, and the necessary equipment for the trek will be reviewed. It is important to get a good night’s rest to begin the adventure the following day. Optional: Transfer from the Puerto Natales bus terminal or airport.


Challenge at Base Torres
After an energizing breakfast, you will take a private transfer to Cerro Paine Reserve, where you will start the challenging trek to Base Torres del Paine. During the ascent, you will hike through lenga forests, cross rivers, and climb steep sections until reaching the spectacular viewpoint. From here, you will marvel at the iconic Torres del Paine peaks. After some time to soak in the scenery, you will return to Puerto Natales. • Distance: 22 km • Duration: 8 hours • Difficulty level: Medium-High • Includes: Breakfast and Box Lunch


Journey through Las Carretas Trail to Paine Grande
A private transfer will take you to CONAF’s Administrative Headquarters in Torres del Paine, where you will start the Las Carretas Trail hike. Along the way, you will enjoy stunning views of the National Park, eventually reaching Paine Grande Lodge, located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Pehoé. • Distance: 17 km • Duration: 6 hours • Difficulty level: Medium • Includes: Breakfast, Box Lunch, and Dinner


Exploring the Stunning French Valley
Today, you will explore one of the park’s most spectacular areas: The French Valley. Walking along the shores of Lake Skottsberg, you will reach Camp Italiano, where the ascent through rocky terrain and forests begins. From the French Valley viewpoint, you will enjoy panoramic views of Los Cuernos peaks and hanging glaciers. After a well-deserved break and lunch in the mountains, you will return to Paine Grande Lodge. • Distance: 21 km • Duration: 8 hours • Difficulty level: Medium • Includes: Breakfast, Box Lunch, and Dinner


Adventures at Grey Viewpoint
The hike continues from Paine Grande to Grey Refuge, crossing a valley with views of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Along the way, you will see icebergs floating on Lake Grey and enjoy spectacular Patagonian landscapes. Upon reaching the refuge, a short additional walk leads to the Grey Glacier Viewpoint, offering direct views of one of the glacier’s arms flowing from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. • Duration: 4 – 4.5 hours • Distance: 11 km • Difficulty: Moderate • Accommodation: Grey Refuge • Meals: Breakfast, box lunch, and dinner


Closing an Unforgettable Adventure
After breakfast, you will board the Grey III Navigation, which allows you to get close to the impressive Grey Glacier. During the navigation, you will admire large icebergs floating on the lake, as well as views of Paine Grande Mountain and the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Upon arrival at Grey Beach, you will walk approximately 30–45 minutes to the Pingo sector, where transportation will be waiting to take you back to Puerto Natales. • Meals: Breakfast and box lunch • Accommodation: Not included

- Excursions are subject to weather conditions.
- Passengers must carry their own luggage throughout the program.
- A 40-liter backpack is recommended.
- Luggage storage is available at our office in Puerto Natales.

- Passengers must be physically able to carry their personal belongings for the entire duration of the program.
