Itinerary

Trip from your accommodation in Puerto Natales to the Park
Early pickup from your accommodation and transfer to Torres del Paine National Park. We start the journey in Puerto Natales heading towards Villa Cerro Castillo, capital of the comuna of Torres del Paine, located 59 kilometres to the north, and then continue on to the National Park. Along the way, we'll be able to take in and interpret the diversity of Patagonian landscapes, characterised by Magellanic forests, valleys of glacial origin, mountain ranges and lakes that accompany much of the route. In addition, if weather conditions allow, we'll have the chance to spot condors flying over some of the nesting areas found along the road.

The itinerary continues towards the Lake Sarmiento lookout, our first photo stop with a view of the Paine Massif. From here, with good weather conditions, you'll get a first panoramic view of the entire Torres del Paine mountain range, the southern extension of the Andes and the imposing Lake Sarmiento.

After this pause we head towards a site of great significance, home to one of the most striking views facing the granite towers. The place described above is the Laguna Amarga lookout, a favourite habitat for flamingos, which frequently find the right conditions for feeding here. The route continues to the main entrance of Torres del Paine National Park, where we'll register our access tickets before carrying on with the itinerary

Lake Grey
At this last point we'll have time for lunch at Hotel Lago Grey (lunch included) and to walk around the surroundings if weather conditions allow. We return to the vehicle to continue the journey, leaving Torres del Paine National Park through the southern section. Our final stop facing Torres del Paine will be at the most imposing spot along route Y-290, known as Mirador Grey. From here you can see the group of mountains that dominate the western part of the province, the immense Lake Toro and, if weather conditions allow, a section of the Grey Glacier as well. After 1 hour of travel, we'll reach the highlight of the day: a visit to the Cueva del Milodón Natural Monument. This protected area is the second most visited after Torres del Paine National Park in the Magallanes region. Our guide will share all the information related to this site of great historical significance, thanks to the ongoing archaeological and palaeontological research carried out there.

Return to Puerto Natales
The gateway to Torres del Paine … The beautiful and remote Natales was founded in 1911 and inhabited primarily by Chileans from the city of Chiloé. Today, it is the transit city to Torres del Paine National Park, but also a destination on its own with various activities such as trekking, mountaineering and sport fishing. Puerto Natales has a wonderful

Trip from your accommodation in Puerto Natales to the Park
Departure from Puerto Natales and direct transfer to the Las Torres sector, where we arrive at "Reserva Cerro Paine", the starting point of the trail, where our guide will give an introductory briefing. Start of the hike. We take the path towards the valley and, after 10 minutes of walking, we cross an old suspension bridge over the Ascencio River. About 150 metres further on there is a fork: the left branch leads to the Base Las Torres. Then comes an hour of zigzag with a marked slope and sparse vegetation. The ascent continues past another spring and, after 45 minutes, you reach Camping Chileno on the opposite bank of the Ascencio River, in the shade of a lenga forest, on a moderate slope, crossing several streams that fall from Almirante Nieto. After about an hour and 10 minutes from Camping Chileno, at 700 metres above sea level, you reach the foot of the moraine that gives access to the lookout

From this point the trail becomes steeper. It first runs alongside a spring and under the shade of the small trees at the edge of the moraine, but higher up the trail fades and you have to keep climbing among the rocks, some of which are marked to show the route. About half an hour after the sign at 700 metres above sea level, you reach the eastern end of the lagoon, where you get a wonderful view of the three towers (Central, Monzino, D'Agostini) and of the Peineta and Nido de Cóndores peaks
After resting and having lunch in this extraordinary scenic setting, unique on the planet, we begin our return along the same trail until we reach the starting point, where our driver will be waiting to head back to Puerto Natales at the end of the day.
