Live two of the most iconic experiences in Torres del Paine National Park, combining a panoramic Full Day tour of the park with the famous trek to Base Las Torres.

The Torres del Paine 2 Days – Classic Pack program is designed for travellers who want to see the main landscapes of Patagonia in a short time, combining iconic viewpoints, lakes, glaciers and mountain trekking in a single experience.

On the first day you'll travel through some of the most emblematic spots in Torres del Paine, such as Lake Sarmiento, Laguna Amarga, Lake Grey and Grey Viewpoint, plus a visit to the Milodón Cave Natural Monument.

On the second day you'll take on the trek to Base Las Torres, one of the best-known trails in Chile and Patagonia, crossing forests, rivers and moraines with sweeping views until you reach the lookout facing the Torres del Paine.

The program includes round-trip transfers from Puerto Natales, guided excursions and entrance tickets to Torres del Paine National Park and Milodón Cave.

Duration: 2 days.

Itinerary

07:30 am - Trip from your accommodation in Puerto Natales to the Park

Pick up at the hotel, transfer to Torres del Paine National Park. We will leave your place of accommodation in Puerto Natales heading to Villa Cerro Castillo, capital of the commune of Torres del Paine, 59 kilometres to the north. The drive to this point takes approximately 45 minutes, an ideal time to talk about and interpret the diversity of landscapes, with abundant Magellanic forest, valleys of glacial origin, mountain ranges and lakes along the roadside. If the weather allows, we may spot condors in one of the many nesting areas found along the route

El sendero costero que conduce hacia el Mirador Sarmiento en el Parque del Estrecho.

The itinerary continues towards the Lake Sarmiento viewpoint, the first photo stop with views of the Paine Massif. From here, and with good weather conditions, it will be possible to get a first panoramic view of the entire Torres del Paine mountain range, the southern extension of the Andes and the imposing Lake Sarmiento.

After this stop we will head towards a site of great significance, one of the most striking views facing the granite towers. This place is the Laguna Amarga viewpoint, a favourite habitat for flamingos, which frequently find here the right conditions to feed. The route continues towards the main entrance of Torres del Paine National Park, where we will register our access tickets before continuing with the itinerary

Grey Lake

At this last point we will have time for lunch (service not included in the rate) and to walk around the area if weather conditions allow. We return to the vehicle to continue the tour, leaving Torres del Paine National Park through the southern section. Our last stop facing Torres del Paine will be at the most imposing spot on the Y-290 road, known as Mirador Grey. From here it will be possible to see the group of mountains that dominate the western area of the province, the immense Lake Toro and, if weather conditions allow, also a section of the Grey Glacier. After 1 hour of travel, we will reach the highlight of the day: a visit to the Cueva del Milodón Natural Monument. This protected area is the second most visited after Torres del Paine National Park in the Magallanes region. Our guide will provide all the information related to this site of great historical relevance, due to the ongoing archaeological and palaeontological research carried out there.

06:30 am - Trip from your accommodation in Puerto Natales to the Park

Departure from Puerto Natales and direct transfer to the Las Torres sector, where we will arrive at "Reserva Cerro Paine", the starting point of the trail, where we will receive an introductory briefing from our guide. Start of the hike. We take the path towards the valley and, after 10 minutes of walking, we cross an old suspension bridge over the Ascencio River. About 150 metres further on, there is a fork: the left branch leads to the Base Las Torres. Then follows an hour of zigzags with a marked gradient and sparse vegetation. The ascent continues, passing another stream, and after 45 minutes you reach Camping Chileno on the opposite bank of the Ascencio River, in the shade of a lenga forest, on a moderate slope, crossing several streams that come down from Almirante Nieto. After about an hour and 10 minutes from Camping Chileno, at 700 metres above sea level, you reach the foot of the moraine that gives access to the viewpoint

After resting and having lunch in this extraordinary scenic setting, unique on the planet, we begin our return along the same trail until we reach the starting point, where our driver will be waiting to take us back to Puerto Natales at the end of the day.

From this point, the trail becomes steeper. First it runs alongside a stream and under the shade of the small trees on the edge of the moraine, but higher up the trail disappears as such and you must continue climbing among the rocks, some of which are marked to show the route. After about half an hour from the sign at 700 metres above sea level, you reach the eastern end of the lagoon, from where you have a wonderful view of the three towers (Central, Monzino, D'Agostini) and of the Peineta and Nido de Cóndores peaks
