Live one of the most iconic experiences in Torres del Paine National Park, sailing across Grey Lake among floating icebergs with privileged views of the striking Grey Glacier, all with transfer included from Puerto Natales.

The Grey Lake Navigation with transfer service is a Full Day excursion ideal for those who want to see one of Patagonia's most emblematic landscapes in a comfortable, organized way, combining transport, navigation and panoramic walks with low physical demand.

The experience starts early with pick up at hotels and lodgings in Puerto Natales. From there, you'll travel by minibus toward the Hotel Lago Grey sector inside the park, where you'll check in before continuing on to the Pingo sector.

Afterwards you'll take a scenic walk of about 30 minutes through native forest and Grey Beach until you reach the pier. Once aboard the Grey III vessel, you'll sail in front of Grey Glacier, surrounded by icebergs, mountains and the unique landscapes of Chilean Patagonia.

During the navigation you'll be able to see:

  • Grey Glacier
  • Floating ice floes
  • Paine Massif
  • Patagonian forests
  • Southern Patagonian Ice Field

The excursion includes one drink per person on board and then the return by minibus to Puerto Natales.

Departure times from Puerto Natales

  • 06:30 hours: first navigation.
  • 09:00 hours: second navigation.

Duration

Approximately 8 to 9 hours in total, considering the transfers and the 3 hour navigation.

Times may vary depending on the season and the operation of the Grey III vessel.

Important considerations

  • The excursion has low physical demand, although it includes simple walks over natural terrain and beach.
  • The walk to the pier is not recommended for people with reduced mobility.
  • Activity subject to weather conditions. Booking in advance is recommended during high season.

6:30 and 9:00 am - Pickup at Hotels / Accommodations in Puerto Natales

Transfer in comfortable minibuses to Hotel Grey in Torres del Paine. Pickup at 6:30 am (1st sailing) and 9:30 am (2nd sailing).

  • If the navigation across Grey Lake is suspended due to weather conditions once the transfer to the Grey sector has already taken place, the value of the navigation service will be refunded less 5% corresponding to administrative and reservation processing costs (booking fee). The transport service is non refundable.
  • Children must always travel accompanied by an adult.
  • Departure and arrival times may change without prior notice.
  • All departures are subject to weather conditions.
  • On every departure, the catamaran calls at the refuge.
  • The transfer requires a minimum of 2 passengers.
  • Passenger pick up and drop off is not allowed at Puerto Natales Airport.
