The Bories Cold Storage Plant, declared a National Historical Monument in 1999, is located in Puerto Bories. Just 5 km north of Puerto Natales in Chilean Patagonia, this site is notable for its post-Victorian English industrial architecture. Founded by European pioneers in the late 19th century, the plant was an important center for the slaughter and processing of sheep.
