Touching the Ice – Grey Glacier is an excursion designed for travelers who want to discover the glacier in a safe, accessible and close-up way, ideal for those looking for a scenic and soft adventure experience in Patagonia.

The activity begins at Base Grey, located just a few minutes walking from Grey Refuge. From there, participants take an approximate 20-minute navigation in a Zodiac inflatable boat to the glacier access area. Afterwards, a guided walk along the moraine begins with panoramic views of Grey Glacier, while the guide shares information about the ice, surrounding landscapes and Patagonia’s glacial history.

At the end of the experience, travelers enjoy a snack and hot drink in front of one of the most iconic landscapes of Torres del Paine before navigating back to Base Grey.
